Students with good study habits can often eliminate two of four MCQ options relatively quickly. Then the real pressure sets in. Exam writers are good at doing this. They craft two wordings that are very close, but only one is correct.There’s all sorts of chat about how to eliminate the\u00a0more or least likely<\/em>\u00a0correct answer; e.g., the longer one is often the correct answer; if it’s a math question, pick the answer in the mid-range of options given, seemingly it has a better chance of being correct; if one option is an absolute statement (e.g., contains\u00a0always<\/em>,\u00a0none<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0never<\/em>) odds are the other option is correct; the list goes on and on. But, these are just suggestions with no factual merit, and they may or may not work. Our advice: Study diligently and read options carefully.
