Here are examples of common terms in the<em>&nbsp;Real Estate as a Professional Career<\/em>&nbsp;textbook glossary that cause trouble for some students:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Agent and Principal<\/li><li>Mortgagee and Mortgagor<\/li><li>REALTOR\u00ae&nbsp;and Registrant<\/li><li>Agency and Representation<\/li><li>Mean, Median and Mode<\/li><li>Market Price and Market Value<\/li><li>Rentable Area and Useable Area<\/li><li>Nominal and Effective Rate<\/li><li>Direct Capitalization and Yield Capitalization<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Crossword puzzles are a fun way to help sort out these and other common terms when studying for the OREA examination. Originally created in ancient Egypt, word puzzles are just as engaging today as they were 2,000 years ago. Crosswords are ideal for online study because they encourage active, not passive learning. A lot of&nbsp;<em>behind the scenes<\/em>&nbsp;mental work takes place. Passit crossword puzzles require participants to distinguish between terms, recall course specifics and select the right words. Puzzles stimulate logical reasoning and the application of deductive skills when arriving at correct answers\u2014important skills for all adult learners\u2014particularly those having to pass OREA exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those studying on a smaller screen mobile devices, we&#8217;re now providing a comparable learning game called&nbsp;<em>Lingo Loopers<\/em>.&nbsp;<em>Lingo Loopers<\/em>&nbsp;focuses on the same common terms as our&nbsp;<em>Crosswords<\/em>. This learning game also reinforces the belief that:&nbsp;<em>the greater the mental activity and recall; the better the learning process<\/em>.
