When pandemic restrictions eased, Humber College re-introduced in-person exams in various locations throughout the province. Here’s why in-person exams are increasing in popularity and where you can find an exam centre for the real estate salesperson and broker programs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Choose In-Person Exams?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Eliminate Frustration with Proctortrack<\/strong>
    The biggest complaint with Humber’s online exams is the requirement to use Proctortrack. While it’s a virtual exam proctoring system designed to prevent cheating, its use often leads to technical issues, privacy <\/a>concerns and unnecessary stress. Despite continued complaints and countless <\/a>frustrated <\/a>students, Proctortrack is still the only online<\/em> option for Humber real estate exams. In-person exams do not use Proctortrack. This allows you to focus solely on your exam without any added virtual proctoring anxiety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Enjoy a Controlled Environment<\/strong>
    Taking an exam at home can present numerous distractions and is only possible if your room meets     specific requirements<\/strong><\/a>. In contrast, in-person exams are conducted in a controlled environment, minimizing external disruptions and ensuring you have a quiet, focused space to complete your exam. No rearranging of furniture or artwork required!<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. No Technology Concerns<\/strong>
    Online exams require stable internet connections, compatible devices, software installations and an on-boarding process. In-person exams simplify the process signficantly<\/strong><\/em>\u2014all you need is your Humber learner portal login and password. Say goodbye to worrying about sudden technical glitches or home internet hiccups disrupting your exam.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Reduced Stress<\/strong>
    Beyond academic stress, online proctored exams have been cited as significant sources of anxiety, impacting many students’ performance. When writing in-person, you can focus exclusively<\/em><\/strong> on the exam. You only need to bring yourself (and your ID). Unlike virtual exams, you are free to adjust your gaze, close your eyes or look out the window.
