Passit's Transition from REBBA to TRESA for Humber Learners
Tip: Bookmark this post — it will be updated throughout September as the central location for transition info and availability details.
Oct 1 Update: Passit for Course 2 (TRESA Edition) is expected to be available by October 15, 2025. All other Passit Guides for the Real Estate Salesperson Program are up-to-date and available now.
Sep 25 Update: Active Passit Guides for Course 1, Course 3, Course 4 and SIM 2 have automatically transitioned to TRESA editions.
Sep 17 Update: Humber's Last REBBA Exam Date was Extended to Sep 24th
As the Ontario real estate courses transition from the Real Estate and Business Brokers Act (REBBA) to the Trust in Real Estate Services Act (TRESA), Passit is updating all of our study guides to reflect the updated RECO curriculum and will edit this post with dates and details as they become available. Here’s what you need to know:
Updated Passit Guides
Every Passit Guide is being updated to align with the revised RECO curriculum that Humber will start offering on October 1st, 2025 (TRESA-based). Updates are being rolled out individually by course—each guide will be released as soon as it’s ready.
Automatic Transition for Active Guides (Starting Sep 25th)
When an updated guide is available, any currently active guides will be auto-updated to the new edition after Humber’s last REBBA exam date (previously September 21st, now September 24th). The following guides have already been transitioned to TRESA:
Guides Not Ready for October 1st
Some guides will not be available by the October 1st start date of the updated program:
- Course 2 — expected (estimated) by October 15, 2025
- Broker Qualifying Exam — availability date to be set soon
- Broker Final Exam — availability date to be set soon
- Interprovincial Challenge Exam — availability date to be set soon
These guides are a priority for us and will be released as soon as possible.
Why the Delay?
Passit Guides are not rushed products—they’re carefully built to ensure accuracy and usefulness (that’s why they are awesome!). Each learning point is developed and reviewed by experts so you can trust the material you’re studying is on-point and accurate.
Notifications for Updated Guides
- Passit users will receive an email notification once TRESA-based guides are available for purchase.
- Those with a currently active Passit Guide will receive an email confirmation once their guide has been updated to TRESA.
- If you are not yet a Passit user and would like to receive an email notification once the updated guides are available, please sign up for email updates here.
Should I Buy the Current Guide and Start Studying Now for My October Exam?
If your exam will take place after October 1st, we recommend waiting until the updated Passit Guides are available before purchasing a new guide.
In some courses the changes are significant—they’re not just terminology updates. The updated courses add, remove and change existing content. Starting with the REBBA-based material now means you’ll likely need to unlearn and relearn portions of the course later. This can introduce unnecessary confusion and uncertainty as you prepare for your exam. Waiting ensures you’re studying the right material from the start — no time or energy wasted!

Will the updated course 4 guide be ready on October 1st?
Hi William, our apologies for the delayed reply to your comment, somehow we missed it! Yes, Passit for Course 4 is expected to become available for purchase and activation starting Sep 25, 2025.
Hello Passit Team,
I’m currently preparing for my third Humber Real Estate exam and wanted to take a moment to thank you — your courses were incredibly helpful in preparing me for Exams 1 and 2.
I have a question about the Exam 3 study guide. If I purchase the Exam 3 course now, will it automatically update to the new TRESA-based version once it’s released? Also, would you recommend waiting until October 1 to start with the TRESA version, or is it still worthwhile to begin now with the current REBBA-based course? I’m wondering if the changes between REBBA and TRESA will be significant enough to make a big difference in preparation.
Thank you for your guidance and support!
Best regards,
Congratulations on passing Course 1 and 2, and we’re glad you’ve enjoyed using Passit!
Yes, any guides that are currently active will be automatically transitioned to the TRESA edition once it becomes available. For Course 3 that is expected later this week. We recommend not using any REBBA-based study materials to prepare for a TRESA exam.
When will course 2 be available?
Course 2 Passit updates are still in progress. This will be the next guide to become available, but we aren’t yet able to confirm a date. More details soon!
Today is 29th Sep. Can i buy course 3? Will it be updated with TRESA by today?
Hi Manpreet, yes, all Passit Guides for Course 3 are now updated and have all transitioned to TRESA editions. All purchases of Passit for Course 3 are now based on TRESA, not REBBA.
I was wondering if there was any update on when course 2 will be launching? The new program starts in two days and I would love to have the Passit guide.
Hi Zach, Passit is on the way soon for Course 2 — details will be posted here as soon as it’s available, or you can sign up for an email notification. Passit users with currently active guides will automatically transition to the new TRESA edition as soon as it’s available.
Thet means what I learned right now it’s not really good for Interprovincial talent test.
That depends on what you’ve been provided with (and what subsequent details you have received from RECO) regarding your specific exam. It looks like you got started with Passit back in April for the Interprovincial Challenge, but since then there have been changes to the program (and associated change notifications in Passit). You can reach out to our support team for additional assistance depending on your specific circumstances.
Hi,
I’m planning to buy Course 2, but I noticed it hasn’t been updated yet. Will it be ready in October?
Also, I’m an Algonquin College student. Does the course only work with Humber materials, or does it make no difference?
Thank you for your help.
Hi Sanaz, yes the Passit Guide for Course 2 is expected very soon (definitely in October!), but we haven’t set an availability date yet. Yes, each Passit guide is now available for every provider (Humber. Algonquin, Fleming or Career College Group). When you complete your purchase you will choose your provider as we integrate features and notifications within each guide that are provider-specific. You can sign up here to receive an email as soon as this guide is available.
Hello Admin,
I would like to enroll for Real estate salesperson course 1-Is your course updated,When is best time to buy your course
Hi Santosh, yes Course 1 is completely updated and ready to go! You can get started anytime – we recommend using Passit for Course 1 together with your course materials, e.g., read a Module in your course, then use Passit for that Module. Here is the link for purchase options, sample screenshots and feature explanations for Course 1 (Humber, Fleming, Algonquin or Career College Group): https://passit.ca/real-estate-salesperson-course-1-exam-study-guide
Hi Passit Team,
Wanted to check on course guide and exam guide for Simulation 1. Is there any expected date for rolling it out?
Hi Krsna, we don’t offer a study guide for Simulation 1, so a new version is not currently in development. This entry-level simulation covers Courses 1, 2 and 3 in a case-study format. Based on user feedback, success is best achieved through active participation and reviewing the materials provided by your course provider — no extra study guide is needed. A Passit guide is available for the more challenging exam for Simulation 2. Here’s an FAQ for commonly asked questions about the Simulation 1 format and delivery.
hello, is anybody else struggling with Humber College right now? im having hard time trying to access the courses to continue my studies
Hi Nour, yes, there are a variety of challenges learners are facing at Humber this week, as they’ve transitioned to the new curriculum as of Oct 1st. Some people aren’t aware of the changes, e.g., the sign in and course portal has changed, learners need to obtain a RECO ID to continue, courses (and exams) that were not completed prior to Sep 30 will need to be restarted, etc. Humber’s help lines are experiencing long waits. You should have received detailed emails from Humber and RECO regarding the transition and the steps required – check your junk/spam. Note that even if you are aware of all of those things, there are many learners experiencing difficulties getting signed in, even though they’ve completed all the steps (or they are stuck somewhere in the steps). Reach out to Humber for assistance.
